Why do motorcycle rides makes me sleepy?
Just curious, everytime my fiance takes me out on the back of his motorcycle I find myself instantly wanting a nap. This never happens in the car, only while on the back of the motorcycle. Maybe I find the ride relaxing? Maybe it's because I remain in the same position and movement is so limited? What's your opinion? Has anyone else ever experienced this?
"Why do motocycle rides 'make' me sleepy?"
Sorry for the typo, I just got off the back of the motorcycle and I'm a bit tired!

1. have you ever heard of parents putting there kids in the car when there babies to get them to stop crying and fall asleep? well the vibration and the sound of pipe can be soothing very calming.
2. Hey Mella,
It could be that he rides steadily when you're on it so the constant humming of the engine is soporific. You could tell him it's o.k. to let rip with you on it - if you feel safe with him -and that would get them eyes WIDE open!
It's not a problem I have as I usually get off the back of a bike feeling a bit hyped up and horny! In fact I with an ex boyfriend we really would go "wild in the country" if we were out and about! LOL - sigh!
3. If you have a full face helmet in combination with the engine vibration it will knock out a child that needs Ritalin. The vibration is like rocking a child to sleep...it is in our DNA.
4. You should get your own ride. You're probably in the perfect position to catch all the carbon monoxide swirling in the air from his exhaust. Are your hands red ? (elevated CO will make blue veins appear red.)
