Are scooters welcome at motorcycle charity rides?

I see that most motorcycle charity rides are centered around Harley Davidson (or v-twin cruisers). Very few are advertised as "Riders on all makes and models are welcome". Are scooter and other non v-twin bikes welcome at these events.

Public Comments

1. I don't see why they would deny you as you would be paying a donation to charity to enter these rides, but you may feel extremely out of place if you are the only scooter there or when they go out on their ride, they will leave you and your slower scooter back in the dust.
I've seen cruisers and sportbikes together at different charity rides, but if it is a Harley Davidson hosted ride, you may expect the majority of bikes to be Harleys.

2. they might frown on it, but then they would be hypocritical...

bones just made my point...most of the people are on v-twin dinosaur designs from the 50's, and make fun of you for not getting a "real" bike? Please!

you can just bask in the knowledge that although you have less than 1/4 of the displacement, you have more than enough horsepower to keep up with most of them, and you're even faster than some of them...

3. they would be welcome at any charity ride if you pay you play but don't think you will be look at as a Biker you will get made fun of and told to get a real bike. I am not trying to be an a$$ that is just the way it is. Scooters are a different class of rider. you would go to a nascar race and see a pinto on the track .We gave one of those thing a way one time the guy that won gave it back so we gave it to the boys and girls club.

4. No one will say something, but if you start bragging about your scooter they'll probably make fun of you. If you respect everyone and just go out there for fun no one is going to hastle you.

Don't show up on a scooter with a full motogp leather race suit.

5. Yes I have seen them in several I have rode in.

6. You bet. You may run into a couple of insecure yuppie types, but if your scooter is nice, you'll probably hear positive comments rather than negative,

I attend a couple of annual events where scooters mix in with the heavy cruisers.

7. By real people yes, but who nose(pun intended) what a posers response would be. I would not let that deter you from participating
