yea.. im thinking about getting a more "street sport" stlye bike but im pretty small and a couple of people told me i wouldn't be able to handle it but i always thought that if your strong enough it doesn't matter your size? what do you think? thanks! and if you do have a motorcycle what kind do you have and do you finds it handles well? or do you know of any that does? thanks! well im about 5'3" 5'4" that was more the question am i too short ...ha! but really!

My clutch cable just broke from where the clutch lever is. So I need to buy new clutch cable. Can i go to autozone or pep boys or someplace to buy clutch cable. Are car and motorcycle clutch cables the same?

Just curious, everytime my fiance takes me out on the back of his motorcycle I find myself instantly wanting a nap. This never happens in the car, only while on the back of the motorcycle. Maybe I find the ride relaxing? Maybe it's because I remain in the same position and movement is so limited? What's your opinion? Has anyone else ever experienced this? "Why do motocycle rides 'make' me sleepy?" Sorry for the typo, I just got off the back of the motorcycle and I'm a bit tired!

I see that most motorcycle charity rides are centered around Harley Davidson (or v-twin cruisers). Very few are advertised as "Riders on all makes and models are welcome". Are scooter and other non v-twin bikes welcome at these events.

I recently had a spill on my motorcycle. I drive a cruiser, and consider myself a safe rider, but had a small accident due to poor road conditions. Now when I ride I feel much calmer and being safe comes more natural. An oldschool biker told me that everyone who rides wrecks at least once. Do you think theres an eerie truth to this statement?

I'm going to be attending my first motorcycle rally this summer in Hollister. I'm not wanting to look like a dork, get in too much trouble and just have a fun time. Any advise other than not wearing $800 of HD clothing, riding a Screaming Eagle V-Rod with the factory hard bags (ugh!) and having on a pair of Converse sneakers with shorts? If you live in the SF Bay Area, you may have seen this piece of work. As far as my bike goes, I picked up a Harley Fat Boy and I'm loving it. Also, I will be going to the 105th party at the MoCo this summer.

My husband and I would like to host a motorcycle run to raise money for our American Cancer Society Relay for Life team. We are not even sure where to begin. Any help to get us started would be great.

Just working on the details of going to the Sturgis Rally this year and was after any advice such as best place to fly into, bike hire companies, which camping grounds are the best, etc. Anyone with any opinions or suggestions would be great to hear from. i noticed that some people that wear motorcycle helmets wear helmets that dont cover the face. it looks like a ww2 german army helmet. is this safe to have on when going on the freeway?

Do you think that is should be law for people to wear motorcycle helmets? Or should it be up to the rider whether or not he wants his brains scattered all over the road? This is just one of those things that confuses me..why would someone rather spill his brains all over the road or mess up his hair? I ask becasue I saw a dude riding a corch rocket on the highway going like 80 and no helmet and swirving in and out of traffic.

I am looking to get a motorcycle in the future and I know it takes time and money, but most people do not ride in the winter (NJ), so my question is, can I cancel my motorcycle insurance during winter months, so I am not paying all year round? I just bought my first bike a Triumph Bonneville America and I need the whole lineup of gear, the helmet, the jacket, boots and gloves. just wondering are motorcycle leathers,especially leather trousers still in fashion.i like wearing leather for the crash protection factor and i feel safe.whats other peoples thoughts.

Okay, I have some brown motorcycle leathers. There a complete suit, trousers and top connected together. They also have a matching pair of boots the same colour. The leathers are probably on the best side of medium going to large and are official Honda leathers. They have the honda logo embroidered on them and the boots. I think they're from around 1960 -1970 in date and I would like to sell them in order to buy myself some leathers for my new motorcycle. Thanks for any answers!

Does anyone know where my hubby can get some leathers from please? He is slightly bigger than the 'normal biker' and we can't find any leathers to fit him across the chest, leg or waist. If anyone has any info on made to measure leathers or a shop which can cater for slightly bigger bikers i would really appreciate the info. I have a 2000 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic with built in CB radio. It's very quiet with the engine off. When I start the motor I get a wining noise. How can I suppress some of that noise?

I want a hands free radio, that I can use to communicate with my friends while snowboarding or riding motorcycles. Something that makes a good clear connection every time (within range). I want something that is either a throat mic or voice activated. What do the pro's use? I know there are tactical ones for like 500 bucks, but I don't want to pay THAT much. I have a helmet with a radio hookup, but I want something easier. Like a throat mic and earpiece.

Looking for Ducati motorcycle tools such as the mathises and others for personal use. I'm not a dealership so Ducati will not help me out. Tried Ebay and other places but no one has them. Does anyone know of a source that would hook me up?

I was hit- really hard in my calf muscle, nothing is broken but it aches, and is hard to walk on - I was hit by a motorcycles front tire, luckly I was wearing jeans, so I am pretty bruised up... what should I do?

I do not the proper terms to explain it. But its more than a scrape, whe whole area of my right elbow is skinless. It felt like a burn.. or real bad rush... uh, i donnow how to explain it. I cleaned it and stuff. i had first medical aid at the time. Now. it has been more than 24 hours, and it steel bleeds and hurts like hell... what kinda over-the-counter medicine can i use to heal it up quicker? I mean some kind of lotion or... i dunnow... Are the deminsions for the TomTom Rider (motorcycle GPS) the same as the TomTom auto GPS deminsions? The monitary difference in an auto and Motorcycle GPS is about $400, I don't need it waterproof, if it's raining, I'll take it off, but it has to be able to be mounted on the handlebars. Any Ideas?

Been riding since Feb and I LOVE Cruising Interstates and traveling to all the attractions located around Central Florida. But the GPS I use in the Car a Garmin C330 isn't waterproof, and has a short battery life. That's why I'm looking for a GPS that can mount to my bike, is waterproof, and I can swap out batteries from Walmart or something if it dies. Any suggestions would be apreciated.

Garmin or TomTom - personal experience appreciated (for use in the UK and Europe). I'd really like one that has an earphone for audio directions, especially if it doubles as an earplug. Cheers in advance!

I have a Harley Fat Boy and I'm getting tired of the stock seat. Any suggestions on replacement seats? Love to have something where I can swap out the b***h seat considering where I go.

My seat is completely destroyed and I need a new one (pan and all so a new cover wont work). I have been looking on ebay and don't like what I see. Mustang and corbin seats don't make one specifically for my bike so Is there any alternative seats that will work.

I bought some Spinex panniers on ebay but they came with no instructions and I'l really like to get some, but can't track down the manufacturer.

Travelling to Japan soon and interested in their aftermarket motorcycle parts such as exhaust for personal use. Could i put the exhaust in my luggage and bring back to Singapore? I'd really love to find some Vetter gear. I have a 1978 Yamaha XS1100. I have a fairing, I think it's a Vetter Windjammer with a barcket I've never seen before so I'd be interested in any vetter fairings, top boxes and panniers but any hard luggage would be a start.

I want to buy my boyfriend a camping hammock for his birthday. A little backround: he wants something that's really compact because he wants to go on a roadtrip on his motorcycle. He was looking at the Clark Jungle Hammocks, which do seem the best. That is a little pricey for me though, so I was wondering about Hennesey hammocks. He wants something warm, easy, and light. Which brands should I look at?
